I QUIT!!
After 11 months of insanity I am leaving my current job this Friday. This is the shortest length of time that I've ever worked anywhere and it was filled with some of the most bizarre situations. It is a Japanese manufacturing company with controlling Americans at the helm, which makes for a bad combination. How controlling? Well here is a short list of rules or requirements - (No matter how weird they sound they are all real rules)
1. all cars in the parking lot must face the building
2. Your desk is to be completely clean every night before you leave
3. For the first year new people are encouraged to clean the bathrooms before work starts.
4. All emails are to be copied to your boss or your bosses's boss
5. All community items like staplers, or fax machines are to be outlined in green tape and labeled with their name.
6. If the President of the company visits you are to stand and sing the company song.
7. Meeting will regularly be conducted in Japanese and you are required to attend even though you don't speak Japanese.
Believe me, I wish I was kidding. Those are all real rules.
So now I'm going to be working for a friend of mine who has been extremely successful with his online business. He wrote a great book on Ebay and has a tremendous mailing list and following. (I'm among his followers) Plus he is an outstanding individual that I really respect. Here's his websites, maybe you've heard of them.

Ebay auctions
For those of you who would like to see my current Ebay auctions do a search for ComicsPriceGuide. Can you guess that I manage the Ebay auctions for www.ComicsPriceGuide.com? This listings will go online tonight. This week's listings include Wonder Woman, World's Finest and if time permits some misc. issues (Batman, Challengers). Honestly if you are looking for issues with fabulous color and luster, the eye appeal thing, these books have it. Buying this collection has raised my standards when buying comics.
In the coming days I'm going to revise my book on www.ComicBookGeeks.com to include how to take pictures of comics. Over and over again I see pictures that don't show anything, they're fuzzy or have a glare to them. There are a few simple items you can purchase that will make your Ebay pictures look better than everyone elses. A great picture helps things sell better, plain and simple. I'll post one of the comics going up for auction so you can see the difference that a great picture makes. Poof, no distracting glare, shine or shadows.

Ebay and Comics
I've written a book on Ebay and comics to share my insight at www.comicbookgeeks.com. There are tons of comic book fans on Ebay but we don't use all the tools that we could. Closed auctions are a wonderful gauge for pricing, yet we don't seem to look. Patience on hot items pays off time after time. There are tools, some of them free, that can help you find, bid and track auctions. Don't worry this isn't theory or rhetoric, I've personally made thousands of dollars on Ebay and I'd like to help you. If you don't like my ebook, (not likely), I'll give you a full refund with no questions asked.
